There are jobs available in the Ottawa Valley, but not always on the visible job market.
Julia Hill, the Workshop Facilitator for ontrac, says they’re offering an online seminar on July 26th to help people looking for a new career learn the importance of networking and finding opportunities that aren’t on the surface.
While the seminar is intended for people looking for a job, Hill says everyone can something away for the hour long discussion.
Hill explains that employers will often look to referrals because of how long a job posting can take to fill positions.
The online seminar takes place at 1pm on July 26th. Get in touch with your local ontrac office to learn how to take part. ontrac is offering up the use of computers at their locations in Renfrew, Arnprior, and Smiths Falls to anybody who would like to attend but does not have internet access.
