The Renfrew Bluegrass Festival goes live today at Ma-Te-Way Park!
This weekend’s edition of the event is the first since 2019, before COVID-19 protocols shut down many major events in for the town.
Speaking with myFM last month, Renfrew’s Communications and Marketing Coordinator Jenna McEwan called the Festival a favoured destination for many tourists on the Summer Festival circuit.
The Grascals and Nothin’ Fancy headline a stacked line-up of bands this weekend. Other featured bands include CR5 Bluegrass, Woodsmoke, The Northern Sons, Simply Blu, Grass Under Fire, and the Barrel Boys.
McEwan was excited to bring festival season back to Renfrew, and noted how many RV’s and campers make the trip. Early campers have been filtering into the Ma-Te-Way Park site since earlier this week.
The Festival’s Facebook page reminds you that the dog park at Ma-Te-Way Park will be closed down while the event is underway, and apologizes for the inconvenience.
The full schedule and tickets can be found on the town of Renfrew’s website.
The event runs Thursday, July 7th through to the 10th.
