There were no fireworks, but a motorcyclist’s dangerous driving on the 4th of July sparked the ire of Killaloe OPP.
Police tell myFM that they clocked the bike going 130 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone along Highway 60 in Madawaska Valley.
The biker ignored attempts to pull them over and sped off. Police decided it wasn’t safe to pursue, but would later locate the speedster on Mask Road near Round Lake Road just off the highway.
The 24-year-old from Gatineau behind the handlebars has been charged with stunt driving and failing to pull over for police.
Their license was suspended for 30 days and the bike impounded for 14 days. The driver will return to Killaloe, this time in a court room, at a later date.
