It might not be a “Blok Party” yet, but Beachburg’s Nathan Blok is heading to Mirabel, Quebec on a high note.
The 28-year-old autoracer is on the upswing in the Super Production Challenge Series, using strong finishes on his home track at Calabogie Motorsports Park to launch himself up to 4th in the Series standings.
Blok appeared in all three races on the weekend of June 4th. Still dealing with ongoing tuning issues that are hampering his car’s horsepower output, Blok battled through the many corners of the Calabogie track to finish fourth in the first two runs before a third place finish in the final race.
Blok credits his crew’s hard work for the quick turnaround after a rough start to the season in Bowmanville. The strong showing at Calabogie has Blok believing that he has the points pace to challenge for the championship this year.
The next stop on the Super Production Challenge schedule is Mirabel, Quebec, for three races at the ICAR Complex over the July 9th weekend.
