The highlight of Culture Connect’s June events programming is Battle of the Bats: Where a love for cricket meets passion for softball, as Local Immigration Partnership’s Jodi Bucholtz explains.
The agenda begins at 11AM for a 90 minute Cricket & Softball 101 tutorial.
The first pitch in the softball game is being thrown by Colonel Vass at approximately 1PM, and the Cricket match will begin at 2PM
Bucholtz says there’s method behind the apparent madness.
Ottawa Tuskers Sports Club Inc. is a non-profit organization that started in Ottawa in 2018 to encourage team sports and bring culturally diverse communities together to celebrate every sport.
The PSP Common Grounders mixed softball team is comprised of Canadian Armed Forces serving members with a passion for softball.
All adults who attend will be required to show government issued photo ID at the Garrison gate entry point.
