A Digital Service Squad program starting August 1st will help small businesses in six townships adapt to the online marketplace.
The program is part of grant worth over $51,000 that the Townships of Killaloe, Hagarty, and Richards, Whitewater Region, Brudnell Lyndoch and Raglan, Madawaska Valley, Bonnechere Valley, and North Algona Wilberforce joined forces to get from Digital Main Street.
Chris Neff, Community Development Coordinator for Killaloe, Hagarty, and Richards, tells myFM that the hope that at least 240 small businesses in the catchment area.
Neff adds that the Digital Service Squad program will help brick and help mortar stores develop their online skills through training, as well as one-on-one assistance.
Neff says that the Digital Service Squad program will give them the start they need to enter the digital marketplace.
Neff says to contact your local town office to see if your business qualifies for the training and grant money.
