Arnprior Mayor Walter Stack says he supports the concept of redeveloping the Christian Education Centre at 257 John Street North in the community as a combination Seniors/Cultural Centre, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
Arnprior formally authorized its requested study amount of 7000 dollars as a municipal grant at the June 13th Council session, even though the figure pushed the Town’s Grants budget into deficit.
GASC spokesperson Darrel O’Shaughnessy made a similar 7000 ask of McNab-Braeside June 7th which thus far has not been as warmly embraced.
Each of the potential partners is being asked to put up seven thousand dollars to inaugurate the initiative, which O’Shaugnessy would like to see accomplished within the year.
