Many local seniors rely on volunteers to get them to important healthcare appointments, and Renfrew and Area Seniors Home Support is putting the call out for more help.
Volunteer Coordinator Nikki Rumbelow tells myFM a recent exodus of drivers for personal reasons has left them in need of new helpers.
Rumbelow says that the program is heavily relied upon and the need for drivers is urgent.
Rumbelow adds that you won’t be on the hook for gas money when you offer up your time to help out.
