A 24-year-old from Timmins is facing charges after police were called to a home in Bonnechere Valley.
The Killaloe OPP says they arrested and charged the individual when they responded to an assist call shortly after 11:00pm on June 8th, 2022.
The name of the accused has been withheld at this time to protect the victim’s identity.
The 24-year-old has been charged with:
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm – (two counts)
- Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition;
- Careless use of a firearm;
- Assault a peace officer;
- Resist arrest;
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm;
- Unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm;
- Carrying a concealed weapon;
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose;
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm;
- Possession of prohibited device or ammunition; and,
- Fail to comply with release conditions – (two counts).
The OPP says the accused was not granted bail and remains in custody.
