Support for families living with or expecting autism has extended into Pembroke.
Hands TheFamilyHelpNetwork.ca recently set up a new office at 224 Pembroke Street West, where they are offering free community clinics this Friday and Saturday according to Program Manager Paula Barnes.
Barnes tells myFM that Hands, who help 11,000 individuals and families throughout Northern Ontario each year moved into their new Pembroke location earlier this year.
Friday, June 10’s clinic goes from 1:00pm to 6:00pm at the Pembroke office, while Saturday, June 11th’s runs from 9:00am to 2pm. Barnes mentions that a wide variety of support is available.
The free clinics will accept walk-ins as space allows, but spots are limited. Call 1-800-668-8555 ext. 1333 or email them at autism@handstfhn.ca to reserve your spot. For more information, you can also go to Hands’ website.
