The Renfrew County District School Board is forging ahead with Pride Week activities by leaps and bounds.
Where during the pandemic several flag-raising ceremonies occurred at various schools, including Arnprior District High School, Amy Johnson, the RCDSB System Principal of Equity and Anti-Racism says the growth in enthusiasm for this week’s activities parallels student interest.
The student forums, today and tomorrow, see students board-wide bussed to Opeongo High School- the elementary panel today, and secondary students on Wednesday and each school will send a contingent.
Johnson highlights the activities planned.
The RCDSB System Principal of Equity and Anti-Racism sees activities only continuing to grow from here on in.
The Rainbow Dance at Renfrew Collegiate Institute completes the activities Thursday and open to grades 9-12 for Renfrew DSB students only.
