myFM has learned that some parents in the Renfrew area will not be sending their kids to school tomorrow after a concerning threat was found today at the local public high school.
This afternoon the Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) sent out a note to parents and guardians saying that concerning graffiti was found at Renfrew Collegiate Institute (RCI).
While the RCDSB has not confirmed exactly what was depicted in the graffiti, the school board says the information is very upsetting for students and families and confirmed that police will be at the school tomorrow.
An investigation is ongoing and more details will be shared as soon as they become available.
Parents of students who attend RCI/RCIS have contacted the myFM newsroom to say they don’t plan to send their kids to school tomorrow because of the nature of the graffiti.
