The re-elected Member of Provincial Parliament for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke is not going to waste any time getting to work. On Thursday night, John Yakabuski secured his sixth consecutive term in office.
The long-time MPP talked about infrastructure and building Ontario as priorities in the upcoming term. He talked about the continued extension of Highway 17, five long-term care home redevelopment projects and expansions in hospitals across Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke.
Yakabuski also talked about fixing the housing crisis in Ontario. He says his party plans to make housing more affordable, increase supply, invest in buildings and has worked with the County of Renfrew on changes to the official plan.
Yakabuski has been the MPP for the riding since he was first elected in 2003. The long-time MPP feels confident in his abilities to serve the residents of Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke.
After he was re-elected, Yakabuski talked about how his late father served the riding for seven terms, but he wouldn’t comment on whether or not he plans to run again in the next provincial election.
