Renfrew Pride is hosting a prom for members of the local LGBTQ2S+ community.
Chris Kyte of Renfrew Pride tells myFM the 18+ event will take place at the Renfrew Curling Club on June 11th from 8pm to Midnight, and will offer a place for people to be comfortable and safe to present themselves as they see fit while they celebrate prom.
Kyte says the idea for the prom has been well received by the LGBTQ2S+ community and the community as a whole.
Renfrew Pride will be keeping it low key for their first ever run of Queer Pride Prom, as they feel out what attendees are interested in having at the party.
