Renfrew police had a busy Saturday, responding to three separate incidents on May 7th where a drunk driver was involved.
Two such incidents occurred near the intersection of Burnstown Road and Calabogie Road in Burnstown, where both drivers were pulled over as part of the RIDE program in the area nearly 24 hours apart.
A 47-year old Hartington man would be arrested for driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 near midnight on Saturday.
Meanwhile, around 11:30 in the evening, a 40-year old Horton Township man was similarly arrested and charged with an extra impaired driving charge on top of that.
Both would be released on an undertaking, with Renfrew court appearances scheduled for June 1st and June 15th respectively.
On the same day, just after four in the afternoon, Renfrew police responded to a collision on Daniel Street South in the Town of Arnprior.
After an investigation, a 45-year old Arnprior man was taken into custody on charges of impaired driving, driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, and driving while prohibited.
He would later be released on an undertaking, and is now due to appear in a Renfrew courtroom on June 1st.
