Campaigning is now underway for next month’s provincial election. myFM news hit the streets to hear from locals, who shared some thoughts about what they’d like to see from the next government.
Another said they would like to see a lot of the healthcare workers back, who were laid off.
There are a few hot topics they feel should be focused on, including affordable housing, no matter where in the province you are.
Opinions were varied as to if locals saw any problems with the current government.
So far we know that Deep River’s Kurt Stoll of the NDP will challenge current MPP John Yakabuski for the position. Also, 19-year-old university student Kade MacWilliams is the candidate for the Ontario Party. To date, a Liberal candidate has not been announced. Ontarians are set to hit the Polls on June 2nd.
