The County of Renfrew is pleased to announce the recent awarding of Rural Economic Development (RED) funding from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA).
The RED funding will provide vital support for the creation of imagery and marketing materials to attract film production companies, the hiring of a film industry consultant, and participation at film industry events to market and promote the many unique small town, rural, wilderness and scenic locations the county has to offer.
The news comes too late for a political credit, as the Ontario legislature has been dissolved.
“The County of Renfrew will work with local municipalities and businesses to present all of the wonderful opportunities and locations our Ottawa Valley geography and heritage have available to the film industry,” comments Warden Debbie Robinson.
