A proposal to build just over eighty houses in the Township of McNab-Braeside is now waiting on permission from the provincial government.
That’s township Mayor Tom Peckett, who tells myFM that the draft from Campanale Homes envisions 81 homes on a parcel of land on Division Street just outside Arnprior.
However, because the land is zoned for agricultural use, the province needs to give the okay to re-zone before construction begins.
Mayor Peckett and Council are hoping for approval by this fall.
Once the province has given the green light, Mayor Peckett believes it won’t take long for Campanale Homes to get shovels into the ground.
Township Council is currently preparing their request to the Provincial Government for a Minister’s Zoning Order to re-zone the land for residential purposes.
