myFM has been looking into fires that erupted in two separate rural homes in the myFM listening area between Thursday night and Friday morning.
One fire took place just before midnight Thursday on Heather Place off of Magnesium Road. Fire Chief for the Whitewater Region, Jonathon McLaren, tells myFM the residents of the house got out safely.
Chief McLaren also let us know the house had already suffered heavy fire and smoke damage when crews arrived on the scene.
The fire chief was also quick to mention the the other first responders who helped extinguish the blaze.
Without fire hydrants nearby, Chief McLaren tells myFM his crews used water from Camp Galilee to douse the flames.
