Until at least June 11th, masking is still required whenever you attend at Arnprior Regional Health (ARH).
Visitors, outpatients, clients, and staff must wear a mask while inside its facilities in accordance with the provincial mask mandate for high-risk settings.
No matter what you may have heard earlier, the extension until the June date was made last Friday, April 22nd for hospitals and long-term care homes.
The decision, announced by Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, is lauded by Leah Levesque, Hospital President and CEO, who believes masking is a vital way to help ensure ARH has sufficient staff levels to provide its care and services without disruptions.
Levesque believes masking is also fundamental to protecting ARH patients and residents who are generally more vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19.
A number of COVID protocols for visitors remain in effect within ARH- masking, proof of vaccination, active screening upon entry; and, at the Grove: Rapid antigen testing.
At the Seniors Active Living Centre and The Men’s Shed masks are not required but are strongly encouraged.
