The Kemptville 73’s played desperate hockey yesterday and it paid off. The 73’s stayed a live in their first round series with the Renfrew Wolves with a 6-5 win. A back and forth game saw each team exchanging goals eventually saw Kemptville net the game winner at 8:56 of the third period. Tyler Schweitzer, Connor Garcia, Mathieu Parent, Elvis Slack, and Tyson Tomasini had the goals for Renfrew. The Wolves went 1/4 on the power play while the 73’s had three goals with the man advantage. Will Craig and Sebastian Resar split time in the Renfrew net, turning aside 14 and 19 shots respectfully. Game five is set for tomorrow night back at the MAC, where the Wolves will look to advance to the second round. Game time is 7:30.
