Arnprior Council is having some second thoughts about returning to live in-person Municipal Meetings in April.
At Monday’s meeting representatives sought additional research on the feasibility of hybrid meetings- both as a consideration coming out of COVID, and, as Lisa McGee reflects- aspirationally going forward.
At the same time, councillors straddled the fence on whether to restrict candidate participation only to those who attest to being fully vaccinated.

There’s no clarity on how that will shake out, as there were only five members present for the session: Lynn Grinstead and the Mayor were excused on family matters.
One thing is certain; the Town will require all future employees to have three doses of the serum.
Jennifer Morawiec says currently there are two Town employees who are not fully vaccinated, neither of whom works full-time.
Clerk Maureen Spratt will research the viability and practicality of the hybrid model, and her efforts may well serve as a model- depending on any future COVID restrictions.
