Renfrew Nipissing Pembroke MP Cheryl Gallant has tabled a petition in Parliament on behalf of local Arnprior veteran, Wayne Pickering.
She presented the document Thursday in the House of Commons.
The petition calls on the Prime Minister to fund the Canadian Veterans Transition Network operations in Afghanistan to provide safe houses, logistics, and support to Afghans who assisted the Canadian Armed Forces between 2001 and 2014.
MP Gallant has also called on the Government to assist Syrians refugees who have been sponsored locally.
