Upper Ottawa Valley OPP would like to remind you to “lock it or lose it.”
As weather begins to warm up in our community, police say they expect an increase in would-be thieves looking for the opportunity to snatch an unsecured car and all it can take is an open window or door for it to happen.
What can you do to stop it from happening?
The police say to always lock the doors and roll up the windows on your vehicle while not in use, park in well lit areas when ever possible, and never leave your valuables in plain view.
They also suggest you keep your home, garage, and sheds locked and secured as well.
