As our local Member of Parliament, Cheryl Gallant is sharing information about the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP).
The CDAP is intended to help Canadian small- and medium-sized businesses grow an online presence and upgrade or adopt digital technologies.
Depending on size, specific needs, and goals, you may apply for funding through the Grow Your Business Online or Boost your Business Technology streams.
Grow Your Business Online provides a $2,400 micro-grant to registered or incorporated enterprises with at least one employee. Up to 90,000 small businesses will be supported by Grow Your Business Online grants.
These smaller businesses will be assigned to a network of youth e-commerce advisors to help them make use of their new digital tools.
Boost Your Business Technology funding applies to eligible businesses with between 1 and 499 employees and annual revenue between $500,000 and $100 million.
You must complete a free digital needs assessment to qualify for a maximum of $15,000, of the cost of developing a digital adoption plan and a possible interest-free loan of up to $100,000 from the Business Development Bank of Canada.
The Boost Your Business Technology funding will employ up to 16,800 students and young Canadians to support businesses looking to adopt digital tools and technologies, and if you wish to hire-on your contracted youth worker, there’s an additional wage subsidy of up to $7,300.
