A garage at a home on Bruce Street in Renfrew went up in flames yesterday afternoon. Reports indicate that fire crews responded to the blaze around the noon hour. It is believed that the fire was sparked due to an electrical problem. Unfortunately the family cat died in the fire. The garage is still standing but suffered interior smoke damage.
