Environment Canada has issued a weather advisory for the Ottawa Valley this morning, calling for heavy snowfall along with ice pellets. As a result, the Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium has shut down all school bus transportation this morning. However, all schools are still open for in-person learning. Weather officials say that drivers should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
