The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is reporting one additional COVID-19 death in the last week.
The detailed case summary put out this afternoon (March 3rd, 2022), shows 33 people have died from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic almost 2-years ago.
The RCDHU says there are currently ten local residents in the hospital with COVID-19 including two in the intensive care unit.
There has been 89 additional COVID-19 cases reported in Renfrew County and District over the last seven days.
The health unit in Renfrew County and District is monitoring four COVID-19 outbreaks in high risk settings.
The RCDHU says outbreaks have been confirmed at Community Living Upper Ottawa Valley, Carefor Civic Complex, Miramichi Lodge long-term care home in Pembroke and Bonnechere Manor long-term care home in Renfrew.
The outbreak at Miramichi Lodge was declared on February 25th, 2022.
While the COVID-19 outbreak at Bonnechere Manor was lifted on February 23rd, another outbreak at the long-term care home in Renfrew four days later on the 27th of February.
