There’s a women’s photoshoot fundraiser taking place this weekend in Pembroke.
The 6th annual international women’s day fundraiser photoshoot will take place at John A. Butler Photography studio on Saturday (March 5th) and Sunday (March 6th) from 1:00pm to 8:00pm.
Event organizer Mickayla Park says they’ve sold out of spots this weekend.
Money raised will go towards the Bernadette McCann House with $2,200 raised last year.
Park says they hope to raise over $3,000 this year.
Park says they’re still looking for businesses to support the event and donate towards the silent auction.
Ladies who signed up will have their hair and makeup professionally done by some of the best artists in the Ottawa Valley and will get a mini 20 to 25 minute shoot with John A. Butler photography.
International Women’s Day is set for Tuesday, March 8th, 2022.
