The price of gas has jumped 11 cents a litre overnight in Pembroke.
Wednesday afternoon you could fill up for 154.9 cents a litre and Thursday morning (March 3rd, 2022) at the same gas station, the cost was 165.9 cents a litre.
Dan McTeague, the President of Canadians for Affordable Energy, expects the cost of gas to continue rising in the coming days and weeks.
McTeague predicts prices will rise another seven cents a litre on Friday pushing the cost of gas at the pumps in places like Ottawa, Toronto and Kingston up to 174.9 cents a litre.
If you haven’t already, you may want to fill up.
Back when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March of 2020, gas in Pembroke was under 76 cents per litre.
