A house has been gutted by fire on Tasse Avenue in Renfrew late last night. Fire crews say that heavy smoke and fire coming from multiple windows when they arrived on scene. One person in the home suffered minor smoke inhalation and the fire was brought under control by 11:30pm. The cause of the fire is undetermined and is still under investigation and the estimated cost of damages is around $400,000. Acting Fire Chief for the town of Renfrew, Mike Guest says to practice your home escape plans with all members of your household so everyone knows what to do in the event of a fire.
