A revised report into what a Thomas Street South residential development might look like came back to Arnprior Council Monday.
CAO Robin Paquette outlined some of the changes to the concept that arose following a recent public meeting on the topic.
A number of elected representatives still feel the concept, which would allow a number of four-storey apartment buildings on the site as part of the Province’s announced neighbourhood intensification strategy was just too intense.
Representatives are to outline their concerns to administration so that the developer may have a chance to address these when the issue returns for discussion in timely fashion February 28th.
Should Council delay or deny the site plan for the project, it would risk losing a hearing at the Ontario Municipal Board- but in its opinion members believe there are still legitimate aspects of concern that remain to be satisfied.
Ted Strike, who lives in the neighbourhood, did not participate in discussion.
