Arnprior Treasurer Jennifer Moraweic has commented following the formal approval of the Town’s 2022 budget as part of Monday’s Municipal meeting.
She indicates that following public consultations in December, and budget deliberations last week, the zero percent increase that elected representatives approved still provides measures to address pandemic related costs and growth pressures, while also providing a significant capital program for infrastructure renewal and an additional $670,000 to grow the Town’s reserves.
There’s over half a million dollars for community grants.
Approximately 6 million dollars will be spent on capital projects including reconstruction of portions of Craig Street and High Streets.
