The 2021 Festival of Tees event raised $57,007 for the Renfrew County Child Poverty Action Network (CPAN).
CPAN Executive Director Lyn Smith says all funds raised go to support local children in need.
Smith says they’ve helped 541 children through operation snowsuit this year.
Committee member Noella Stevens says this is the second year in a row they’ve had to host a virtual event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Stevens says they blew past the fundraising goal thanks to support from the community.
Since the first Festival of Trees gala in 2012, more than $380,000 has been raised to help children in need across Renfrew County.
