While the Ottawa Valley Tourist Association has a promotion going on encouraging local staycations, it’s based on an Ontario initiative that encourages staycations province-wide.
That’s Alastair Baird, who says Queen’s Park’s Tourism Tax Credit is applicable for all of 2022.
The Manager of Economic Development and Tourism at the County of Renfrew says, “keep your receipts”
Baird says you can claim up to 1000 dollars per family under the program, and your tax credit could total between two hundred and four hundred dollars- good for you, and good for the local tourism operator.
