On Friday (January 14th), about 12:50PM, a Renfrew OPP officer was conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 17 in Horton Township.
The officer initiated a traffic stop and spoke with the driver, who was about to be served for infractions when he left the scene.
Timothy Godin, age 37, of Whitewater Region Township was later arrested and charged with dangerous operation and flight from a police officer.
The accused was also charged with stunt driving, speeding, failing to surrender drivers licence, driving while under suspension and failing to surrender permit.
As well, Godin was charged with failing to surrender an insurance card under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
He was released on an undertaking to appear in Renfrew Court on March 2nd.
