A snowplow struck and killed a tow truck driver on Highway 417 near Arnprior.
Renfrew OPP says officers and paramedics were called out to the fatal collision Monday (January 17th, 2022) around 12:25pm underneath the White Lake Road overpass.
The OPP says a westbound snow plow struck a tow truck operator who was assisting another motorist.
The tow truck operator has been identified as 33-year-old Phillip Smith of Ottawa.
A post mortem examination has been ordered by the Office of the Chief Coroner.
The investigation continues with the assistance of an OPP Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigators.
The Ministry of Labour was contacted and is investigating the incident.
