Staff have confirmed a COVID-19 outbreak at the Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior.
The information was shared this afternoon (January 17th, 2022).
There is currently two positive staff cases associated with the outbreak.
The outbreak has not changed access to the home for visitors or essential caregivers.
In partnership with the local health unit and Arnprior Regional Health’s Infection Prevention and Control and Occupational Health and Safety teams, The Grove has implemented the necessary outbreak protocols to protect the health and safety of residents and staff.
This includes:
- Contact tracing and testing
- PCR testing of all residents
- Enhanced cleaning of high-touch areas
- Recreation programs have been paused
- Increased PPE measures for staff
The Grove also continues with its precautionary measures of regular surveillance testing (via rapid antigen testing), active screening upon entry, and adherence to its mandatory vaccination policy.
