Members of the Canadian Armed Forces have been called in to help with COVID-19 vaccination efforts in Quebec.
Minister of Emergency Preparedness Bill Blair made the announcement on Monday (January 3rd, 2022), as Quebec reported an additional 15,293 cases of COVID-19 and 15 more deaths linked to the virus.
Roughly 300 members of the Canadian Armed Forces have been deployed to assist, primarily in the Montreal area.
Following our approval of Quebec’s request for federal assistance, Canadian Armed Forces personnel will begin their deployment today to provide support to the province’s vaccination campaign. 1/2
