Arnprior Mayor Walter Stack is sending a New Year’s message to constituents.
Stack is praising citizen resiliency in the face of challenges that arose in 2021.
He notes the fantastic demonstration of kindness shown by those who rallied round a go-fund-me page in support of Arnprior’s O’Brien Theatre as well as support for the Food Bank and Teachers Against Poverty initiatives which filled lists for more than 300 kids and teens.
The completion of the Grove Nursing Home expansion means potential more local long term care residents may be able to remain in their home community going forward.
Although gatherings are again restricted, there was much to delight over the festive season: Moonlight and Mistletoe Shopping events, Drive-by Santa, and the Town’s annual Christmas Lights contest bringing joy.
As one year rolls into the next and COVID-19 rolls along, remember- and practise all health and safety protocols; they are perhaps more important now than ever.
Don’t ignore your chances to shop local, whether it’s online, curbside pickup or take out, our merchants rely on you.
Happy New Year from the Mayor and Council of Arnprior.
