Members of the Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the Renfrew Crime Unit continue to investigate a robbery in the Town of Arnprior that occurred on Thursday morning shortly after 11:30 a.m. at the CIBC branch on Elgin Street.
Just after 4PM the Crime Unit arrested and charged an 41 year-old Giles Staples of Arnprior in connection to the robbery.
He’s been charged with Robbery with violence, disguise with intent and Possession of cocaine.
Staples is being held in custody (bail) and will appear in Pembroke court at a later date.
