
Officers are reassuring the public for its safety after a lone bandit made off on foot after robbing the CIBC Branch on Elgin Street in Arnprior Thursday.
Detachment officers responded to a 911 call just after 1130AM.
Their investigation reveals that a masked suspect entered the bank and approached a teller demanding money.
The suspect left the bank with the loot. possibly carrying it in a yellow grocery bag.
There were no injuries sustained and the police statement does not refer to a rumoured weapon.
The man is described as being about 5’6″ to 5’8″ tall, with brown hair.
He was wearing a dark coloured toque, dark sunglasses, a light coloured zippered jacket and blue plaid pyjama pants.
His face was hidden with a light coloured bandana with dots.
