New LED lighting is being installed along the Millennium Trail in Renfrew.
Director of Parks, Recreation and Facilities, Kevin Hill, says a number of the lights on the trail are out and instead of replacing them individually, the town is looking to replace all 76 of them.
Hill adds they’re looking at a couple of different options and are testing out one of the new lights to see how it works.
Hill says with the switch the LED, they hope to notice some cost savings as well.
He adds the Millennium Trail is a great feature for residents in Renfrew to be able to cross the town and access different areas of the municipality.
The lighting along the Millennium Trail in Renfrew will likely be replaced in 2022.
