Renfrew Victoria Hospital is revising its Visitor policy (effective Tuesday, December 21st) (as of December 21st) in response to concerns about the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
Each admitted patient may designate only two visitors for as long as they are in hospital, but only one designated visitor be there on any given day.
Acute Care (2nd floor) visiting hours are from 1PM to 5PM.
Complex Continuing Care (3rd floor) visiting hours are from 2PM to 6PM.
All designated individuals must be fully vaccinated and screened before entry.
Your visitors have to sanitize their hands when entering or leaving your room.
Visitors should stay with you in the room, do not go to the cafeteria or consume food or beverages during their sojurn.
They should use the public washrooms next to the ER waiting area.
Exceptions for essential caregivers and/or care partners and visitors in end of life circumstances remain in effect.
Outpatients can only bring an essential caregiver/care partner if it is safe to do so.
