Work as part of the Ma-te-Wat Activity Centre expansion is underway.
The 76, 500 ft2 facility to be adjoined to the current arena at Ma-te-Way.
Recreation Director Kevin Hill updated council on the plans Tuesday night (December 14th, 2021).
The expansion includes an Indigenous Cultural Centre, an NHL sized ice surface, an elevated walking track, fitness centre, regulation sized gymnasium, multipurpose rooms, administrative offices and space for lease.
