A server in Pembroke received a $1,600 tip from a group of strangers.
Natasha Wiseman who works at Finnigan’s Roadhouse in Pembroke says when she came into work on Monday a group of 20 had requested she serve them.
After one of the group members paid for the bill, she says she received a card stuffed with hundreds, fifties and twenty dollar bills.
She says she didn’t recognize any of the people at the table who were feeling generous this holiday season.
She adds half of the people at the table didn’t even know each other.
Wiseman says the customers called themselves the “Breakfast Networking Group” and she wanted to thank them publicly for their support.
She says you never think something like this would happen to you.
Wiseman says it showed her there is love and joy in the world.
The Pembroke server says she plans to pay it forward.
