McNab-Braeside is finding the budget process for the Township for 2022 will not be pretty.
Mayor Tom Peckett foresees a perfect storm of cost increases may push the local share to double digits.
A Provincial grant was announced December 10th by MPP John Yakabuski lowered the estimate hike to just over ten percent.
Peckett says the Wednesday session tackled public works and protective services, while Thursday it was Recreation and Governance that shared the stage, but there are coming hikes due to the costs of materials and services that cannot be avoided.
The Township historically plans to have a final draft budget for 2022 passed before year-end 2021.
