A gofundme for a single father who lost his home in a house fire has far exceeded its donation target.
The site has already surpassed $18,000 for the Stokes family.
On December 1st, Chris Stokes ran home after he got a call that his house was burning.
His coworker and friend, Caleb Bennett says Chris, his two young sons and dog lost everything in the blaze, all the while Chris was putting in overtime hours to give his boys a magical Christmas.
While no one was hurt, the Stokes don’t have house insurance.
Bennet says the money raised will be used for essentials and for rent money.
