Whitewater Region has received information and key dates for the 2022 municipal election.
Council received a report saying the first day to file a nomination paper for council or the school board trustee positions is Monday, May 2nd, 2022.
Once the nominations are filed, candidates can start raising and spending money on their campaign.
The township says the deadline for candidates to file a nomination or withdraw a nomination is Friday, August 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
The municipal election is set for October 24th, 2022.
Voters in Ontario will also have a provincial election in 2022.
