The COVID crisis caught the best of municipal friends at odds over how to calculate the issue of how service reductions would affect shared billings.
The matter ruffled a few feathers between McNab-Braeside and Arnprior over how much the former was charged for a Nick Smith Centre pool that was sitting idle due to virus restrictions.
Mayor Walter Stack says despite all of that, both sides put their noses to the grindstone and came up with a new joint-use agreement covering recreation aspects for the next five years.
Stack says a clause in the new deal will cover potential service interruptions.
